On July 19, an online Campus Open Day for 2020 undergraduate enrollment of Xiamen University was held, with activities such as cloud propaganda, cloud exhibition hall, cloud interview, cloudcampustour and so on. At 10:30, the cloud exhibitions of 26 schools were held simultaneously.Prof.Xianming Deng, the Vice Dean of School of Life Sciences, andProf.Bo Liu, the Director of the Cell Biology Department, took part in the live broadcasting. They introduced the basic situation of life sciences to the students through slides, videos, and online Q & A.

Slides were introduced byProf.Xianming Deng who talked about thenearly100-year development course ofSchool of Life Sciencesfrom four aspectsincluding the general situation of the school,talenttraining characteristics, trainingaccomplishments, and campus culture. Starting from the establishment of zoology and botany in 1922, he traced back the history of the school, elaboratedon the current disciplines, majors, teaching staff, as well asmajorscientific researchand teachingachievementsand various provincial and ministerial awards in recent years.

In the Q & A session,Prof.Liu Bo, graduated from School of Life Sciences, shared his ownpersonal experience of community activities, internship and graduation thesis, andspoke highly ofXiamen University's hardware equipment, faculty strength and the training mode. In addition, the two teachers also introduced the characteristics of bioscience and biotechnology, the main learning content and curriculum of undergraduate training stage, scholarship, enrollment rate, employment prospects and other issues that students and their parents pay close attention to.
