On June 13th, a delegation from the University of Macau, led by the College Master of Liu Che Woo College, Prof Yip Ming Chuen, visited XMU.
The vice president of Xiamen University, the dean of The Beutler Institute Professor Han, the deputy secretary of CPC committee of School of Life sciences Wei Zhang and professors from School of Life sciences and Medical College welcomed the delegation with a seminar at B308, Huangchaoyang Building.
First, Professor Han on behalf of The Beutler Institute welcomed the delegation, and introduced the overall situation of the General Education Program and the Talented Undergraduate Training Program of The Beutler Institute and the accommodation environment in the campus. Subsequently, Professor Yip Ming Chuen introduced the current scale and education model of Liu Che Woo College.
At the seminar, the two sides conducted in-depth discussion on the situation of their college, and exchanged views on the mode of operation of the Residential College at home and abroad. Both sides agreed that this inter-school exchanges was conducive to deepening mutual understanding and explore more opportunities for collaboration, including research, student exchanges and other aspects.
In the afternoon, professors and students of the University of Macau visited the Xiang'an campus teaching building, library, etc., and had a deep exchange with The Beutler Institute students. The two sides also exchanged souvenirs and posed for photographs.
