Research Area

Light is one of the most important environmental cue for plant growth and development. Non-damaging ultraviolet B (UV-B) light promotes photomorphogenic development and stress acclimation through UV-B-specific signal transduction in Arabidopsis. UV-B irradiation induces monomerization of the UV-B photoreceptor UV RESISTANCE LOCUS 8 (UVR8). Our main research interest is to explore the molecular mechanism of the subcellular localization and activity of Arabidopsis UV-B Photoreceptor.
