Lecture Abstract: The spatiotemporal arrangement of genomes within the cell nucleus is emerging as an important regulator of transcriptional control and cellular functions. 

Visualizing the dynamics of genome organization in living cells is the major challenge in the field of nuclear biology. Dr. Baohui Chen will talk about her recent development of live-cell DNA labeling methods using CRISPR-Cas9 systems. The CRISPR imaging tool allows us to explore the dynamics of native genome architecture at the single-cell level and study the relationship between genome organization and function.
