On June 24th, a delegation from the Department of Biomedical Science at Chang Gung University, Taiwan, led by Professor Shicheng Luo arrived at Xiamen University for a four-week exchange program.
Dean of the School of Life Sciences Xianming Deng, Associate Deans Qinxi Li, Cheng Shih-Chin, and faculty and student representatives, welcomed the delegation. Deng emphasized that the cooperative exchanges between the two sides hold great significance, positively impacting cross-strait higher education and scientific research cooperation. Li introduced the history of Xiamen University and provided an overview of the School. Following the ceremony, the Chang Gung delegation toured Xiamen University's biomedical instrument-sharing platform in Xiang’an campus and the Museum of Life Sciences in Siming Campus.
Since 2013, the summer exchange program between the two sides has been successfully held for eight years, becoming an important platform for fostering friendships among cross-strait youth and promoting cultural exchanges.
