From May 7^th to 8^th, the “Biomedicine+” Industry-Academia Fusion Development Conference was held in Xiamen, with the theme of "Advancing Innovation and Promoting Integrated Development".

Representatives from industry associations, biotechnology enterprises, the medical industry, financial institutions, universities, and research institutes attended the conference, engaging in in-depth discussions on the high-quality development of the biomedical industry. Vice President of Xiamen University Zhou Dawang, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Biochemical Pharmaceutical Industry Association Hu Wenyan, and other leaders delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of innovation leadership and close integration of industry, academia, research, and application.

During the conference, the 8^th Xiamen University Biology Discipline Outstanding Alumni Forum was also held, where alumni Zheng Limou (the 1974 cohort) and Zhang Yuxin (the 1979 cohort) of the XMU School of Life Sciences shared their personal journeys and valuable experiences. Additionally, alumni Zhang Yuxin and his company set up scholarships and grants for the School.

The event was organized by the Xiamen University Alumni Association Secretariat, the School of Life Sciences, and the Biomedical Translation Research Institute of Xiamen University, aiming to gather innovative talents and resources in the biomedical field and establish a full industry chain cooperation model.
