Professor Hong Wanjin, an alumnus of the 1978 cohort of the School of Life Sciences, Xiamen University, has been selected to the 2023 Asian Scientist 100 list released by the Asian Scientist Magazine, in recognition of his leadership in advancing local molecular and cellular biology research.

This year’s list includes honorees from Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, who have either received a national or international prize in 2022, achieved a significant accomplishment such as a scientific discovery, or demonstrated leadership that advances scientific enterprise.
