郑燚明教授,国家海外高层次青年人才。神经损伤疾病如脑中风和脊髓损伤是至今未解决的重大医学难题,神经细胞死亡是神经损伤和退行性疾病如老年痴呆症的主要病理学特征,及时清除坏死神经细胞对于控制神经炎症和帮助神经再生至关重要。课题组主要致力于神经系统损伤和疾病过程中的细胞吞噬和降解研究,前期工作发现神经系统除了小胶质细胞作为主要的吞噬细胞,微血管内皮细胞在神经系统疾病中具有此前未知的吞噬功能属性,在神经系统脱髓鞘疾病的发展过程中扮演重要角色,相关研究成果发表于《Nature Neuroscience》和《Nature Cell Biology》等国际权威期刊。课题组综合运用小鼠遗传学、细胞分子生物学和成像技术,研究1)血管细胞作为新型吞噬细胞在神经损伤病变中的作用和调控机制;2) 血管细胞和胶质细胞互作调控神经损伤病变的机制;3)细胞骨架重构等重要生物学过程在神经系统发育和疾病中的作用。欢迎加入我们的团队。
