原核生物的免疫系统包括有CRISPR-Cas系统、限制性修饰系统、噬菌体排斥系统、噬菌体信号系统、核酸解旋酶系统、毒素-抗毒素系统以及原核Argonautes系统。核酸酶以及核酸修饰相关蛋白也是上述多种免疫系统发挥作用的关键分子机器。同时,随着微生物基因组数据库的不断扩容,挖掘原核生物中存在的新型防御系统成为可能。我们重点聚焦原核生物中新型防御系统的抗病毒机制研究,通过机制研究,挖掘出具有潜在应用价值和优越前景的核酸酶应用工具,进而开发出完全具有我国自主知识产权的新型基因操纵工具和体外诊断技术
