 李博安博士  教授
    1996年在上海肿瘤研究所获博士学位
    1998至2006年先后在德国Max-Plank Institute for Biochemistry和美国University of  California , Irvine 学习、工作,先后任博士后和助理研究员,从事细胞信号转导、肿瘤与发育生物学以及抗HIV药物研究工作。
    2006年1月起回国任厦门大学生命科学学院985平台特聘教授,福建省闽江学者特聘教授, 博士生导师。

Boan Li, Ph.D. Professor of Molecular and Cellular Biology. He obtained his Ph.D degree from Shanghai Cancer Institute in 1986. Then he performed research work in the field of signal transduction, tumor and development biology, and anti-HIV drug research in Germany and the America from 1998 to 2006. He joined the faculty of Xiamen University College of Life Sciences from January, 2006. 

研究领域:
    Wnt信号通路在正常组织发育和肿瘤形成中起重要作用。我们克隆了小鼠pygopus2基因,该基因通过LgslBCL9与β-catenin结合,对Wnt信号强度起控制作用。我们已经构建了pygopus2的knockout小鼠模型,发现乳腺发育障碍是主要表型,同时Wnt信号强度明显减弱。我们还发现pygopus 在多种肿瘤组织内有高表达,因而将利用转基因小鼠模型研究其在肿瘤发生中的作用。与此同时,我们还发现pygopus2在某些Wnt信号阴性组织内有高表达,表明存在Wnt非依赖途径。我们将利用酵母双杂交和TAP(tandem affinity purification)技术分离pygopus的结合蛋白,以彻底阐明其作用机理。

Research interest:
    Wnt signaling is crucial for normal development and tumorigenesis. Pygopus is a newly found PHD finger protein which is recruited to β-catenin via an adaptor protein, Lgs/BCL9, and existing evidence suggests that Pygopus is required for the maximum activation ofβ-catenin/Lef1 dependent promoter/ genes in cell culture. We have cloned the mouse Pygopus2 gene and generated the knockout mouse model. Phenotype study indicated that the main defect in Pygopus2 mutant mouse is abnormality of mammary gland development. Meanwhile, the Wnt signaling is apparently decreased in mammary gland cells. Pygopus2 was also found upregulated in some tumor tissues. Therefore, the transgenic study will be conducted to look into the function of Pygopus2 in tomoerigenesis.  We also found the high levels of expression of Pygopus2 in some Wnt signaling negative tissues which indicates the existence of Wnt-independent pathway for Pygopus. Yeast two hybrid and TAP will be utilized to isolate the Pygopus binding proteins so that we elucidate the mechanisms of Pygopus in Wnt- dependent and independent pathways.
