简 历: University of British Columbia 博士(1970)耶鲁大学博士后(1970-1972),多伦多大学教授(1984-2001),新加坡国立大学生物系系主任(1999- )。 1966-1970: Ph.D. University of British Columbia, Canada; 1970 –1972: Post-Doctoral Fellow, Yale University U.S.A.;1984-2001:Professor, University of Toronto;1999-:Head ,Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore (NUS).
主要研究领域: 在抗冻蛋白的生物化学及分子生物学、海洋生物技术和转基因鱼研究领域是世界权威。正致力于虾白斑综合症病毒和人类结肠癌功能基因组学的研究。第一位成功地将抗冻蛋白和生长激素基因和溶解酶转移至鱼类。 Our laboratories are one of the leading groups in the study of fish antifreeze proteins, the molecular endocrinology of fish pituitary hormones and the biotechnological applications of transgenic fish. We are focusing on the functional genomic studies of shrimp white spot syndrome virus and the human colorectal cancer.We have successfully produced transgenic salmon harboring the antifreeze protein gene (1988, for freeze protection), growth hormone (1992, for growth enhancement) and lysozyme (1995, for disease resistance).
