With Ph.D, M.Sc. and B.Sc. in The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Prof. Dan Yakir is the chairman of Environ Sci. & Energy Research,  Weizmann Institute of Sciences, Israel.  His research interests include:

      Biosphere-atmosphere Interactions

      Global carbon and water cycles

      Ecosystem radiation budget

       Ecosystem responses to climate change

      Plant Ecophysiololgy in the semi-arid region

Prof. Yakir has done many pioneer research in these fields using stable isotopes and published over 100 papers include those in Nature, Plant Physiology, Global Change Biology, etc.
